Incompatible Browser

For estate agents and solicitors ChainManager is a sophisticated web-based business application that makes use of advanced features like DHTML (Dynamic HTML) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to create an enhanced user interface. Unfortunately different web browsers implement these features in different ways. As a result some functionality can be lost or pages may not appear as they should. A solution to this is to write different pages for different browsers but for a complex business application this involves writing a massive amount of additional (and largely duplicated) code.

It is estimated that 96% of business users all use the same browser i.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer. Given that web browsers are free, we have taken the decision to develop our business web applications so that they function correctly in Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 5.5 Service Pack 2 or later). To use ChainManager as an Estate Agent or Solicitor please download a free copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or later from the Microsoft web site.

The Buyers' and Sellers' pages have of course been designed to function correctly with the modern versions of the three most popular browsers - namely Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera (trademarks acknowledged).
